Only schools in specific categories are required to be represented at the ICAA Accreditation Hearings on Monday morning.  Contact the ICAA office if you don’t know if your school is required to have a representative attend on Monday.

ORUEF International Educator’s Conference

  • This year’s ORUEF International Educator’s Conference will focus on students with special needs which all teachers encounter in their classrooms daily.  The morning conference general sessions will provide more foundational understanding for administrators and teachers in the area of special needs.  The afternoon general session will specifically address school safety and crisis management planning which are so vital for effective and quality schools in today’s culture.  The workshops, on the other hand, will be much more specific and very practical, providing specific strategies that teachers and administrators can use to effectively meet the needs of students with special needs.

ICAA School Accreditation Training

The ICAA Accreditation Training is a helpful event for schools interested in joining ICAA, those who are new to ICAA, and for schools who have an ICAA ER visit within the next two years. This training has been constructed so that each attendee will gain a greater depth of knowledge within the ICAA protocol, standards, and assur- ances, and an understanding of how to meet the requirements of the accreditation process. Attendees will also leave with an understanding on conducting diagnostics on student performance, among much more.

Whether you are new to ICAA or have been acquainted for some time, make plans for you and your team to attend this training to gain further knowledge on ICAA policies, procedures, and practices. This event will not only offer tools to be better prepared for an upcoming site visit, it will also offer strategies to benefit the achievements and practices of your school as well.

2018 ORUEF/ACTS Norman Educator’s Conference

The 2018 ORUEF/ACTS Norman Educator’s Conference hosted by Community Christian School will be held on Monday, November 5, with registration beginning at 7:45 a.m. This year’s conference will feature Mr. Timothy Barton who will speak in two general sessions.

Timothy is a speaker for WallBuilders, a national pro-family organization that presents America’s forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on our religious, moral, and constitutional heritage. WallBuilders has been recognized from coast-to-coast for its work in education, history, law, and public policy, integrating the elements of Biblical faith and morality throughout all aspects of American life and culture.

Tim excels in his various presentations on worldview, education, the truth of America’s Godly heritage, and a variety of other topics. Pastors, seminars, churches, schools (both public and private), and youth conferences have been challenged and inspired by the information he presents. From elementary students to senior adults, Timothy gains the rapt attention of all with his unique presentation style and powerful content. While he engages and challenges the mind, his dynamic messages speak straight to the heart. Tim is an ordained minister and has worked in a variety of church staff positions, including as youth minister, worship leader, and assistant pastor. He served as an athletic director, teacher, and coach at a Christian School in Texas, also serving as a basketball camp coach at Duke University.

Tim graduated from college with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Biblical Studies. During college, he mentored youth, working with local youth groups and serving at an orphanage. He also worked for several years as a senior counselor at a large youth camp in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Regardless of where he is, Tim speaks into the lives of those around him, encouraging them to live passionately and to follow Christ whole-heartedly.

Tim, and his wife Gabi, currently reside in Weatherford, Texas.

In addition to general sessions, about 25-30 additional workshops are planned across the four breakout sessions during the conference. A number of vendor booths will also be available for browsing and purchasing resources at the conference.

There will be a $10 registration fee for the conference. Lunch will be provided and the cost is included in the registration fee.

2018 ORUEF/ACTS Albuquerque Educator’s Conference

The 2018 ORUEF/ACTS Albuquerque Educators’ Conference hosted by Hope Christian School will be held on Friday, October 26, with registration beginning at 7:45 a.m. This year’s conference will feature Mr. Frank Cantadore who will speak in two general sessions.

Frank Cantadore is the Head of School at CFA Academy in Concord, North Carolina and serves as the Director of Men’s Ministries at Concord First Assembly. He is the current Chaplain for the Charlotte Knights (Triple A affiliate of the Chicago Whitesox).
Frank serves on the board for ACTS and is the North Carolina/South Carolina Regional Representative. Frank and his wife, Kristen, have been married for 37 years. They have four grown children and seven grandchildren, all residing in Concord, North Carolina. Being actively involved in Christian Education for 35 years, Frank greatly values like-minded Christians working together for the cause of Christian school ministries. Frank will inspire and challenge you to recognize the present and increasing need of “Boots on the Ground” for the sake the Kingdom and the Christian school movement.

In addition to general sessions, about 25-30 additional workshops are planned across the four breakout sessions during the conference. A number of vendor booths will also be available for browsing and purchasing resources at the conference.

ORUEF Houston Educator’s Conference

The 2018 ORUEF Houston Area Educator’s Conference is on Thursday, October 18th with registration beginning at 12:00 pm and will conclude on Friday, October 19th at 3:00 pm.  This year’s conference will feature Mr. Roy Faletti, National Director of Partner Development, with Summit Ministries in Manitou Springs, Colorado.  Mr. Faletti will speak in the three general sessions around the theme of Biblical worldview.  More specifically, his three sessions will address the following topics:

General Session 1 – a discussion of the results of the recent worldview survey of U.S. Evangelical Christians’ and students’ beliefs and opinions today in the context of a Biblical worldview

General Session 2 – an exploration of Generation Z – the first Post-Christian generation and what makes this generation unique in comparison to all previous generations

General Session 3 – a discussion of how to most effectively address these concerns with today’s students and effectively shape their worldviews toward a Biblical worldview

In addition to the general sessions, about 30 additional workshops are planned across the four workshop sessions during the two days of the conference a number of vendor booths will also be available for browsing and/or purchasing resources at the conference.

There is no registration fee for the conference.  However, prior registration is required so that we may ensure enough materials are available for everyone.

The conference location is Eagle Heights Christian Academy, First Baptist Church, 3005 Pearland Parkway, Pearland, TX.

ORUEF Northern Kentucky Educator’s Conference

ORUEF is pleased to announce its first Educator’s Conference to be held in Northern Kentucky. This event will be held at Community Christian Academy on November 16th, with registration beginning at 7:45 a.m.

Dr. Kim Boyd will be one of the general session speakers. Dr. Boyd serves as the Dean for the College of Education at Oral Roberts University.  Previous to her current position, she served as the Associate Dean and an instructor of elementary and professional education. Dr. Boyd is a Commissioner for the Council of Accreditation for Educator Preparation (CAEP), the national accrediting body for education preparation programs. She previously served as the vice-chair for the Oklahoma Commission for Teacher Preparation, now the Oklahoma Council for Educational Quality and Accountability, which is the state accrediting body for education preparation programs. Dr. Boyd sits on numerous education boards both national and international, including ORUEF and ICAA, and has conducted numerous workshops at local, state, national, and international levels that focus on performance based assessment.

In addition to the general sessions, about 18-20 additional workshops are planned across the four breakout sessions. A number of vendor booths will also be available for browsing and/or purchasing resources at the conference.

There is no registration fee for the conference.  However, prior registration is required so that we may ensure enough materials are available for everyone.
